Embroidery has been a timeless technique for adding a touch of sophistication and personality to any fabric. Whether it's a shirt, a hat, or even a pair of socks, embroidery can make any piece of clothing unique. At Team Feet, we've noticed an increasing demand for embroidery on our custom-designed socks, with around 20% of all design requests in the past year asking for embroidery.
However, as much as we love embroidery, we also know the challenges that come with applying it to socks. The small size of the sock's surface can make it difficult to fit in intricate details and thin lines, resulting in a less than desirable outcome. That's why we spent some time in the Team Feet Lab working on ways to improve the embroidery process for our customers.
The solution we came up with is a game-changer! We can now render your logo as a standalone embroidered patch that is then sewn onto the sock base of your choice. This technique allows for a logo with much more detail and density as we can use significantly thinner thread. Plus, there are little-to-no restrictions on the number of colors we can use, and we can also offer more flexibility as to where your logo is placed, thanks to the hand-sewn technique.
And if your artwork is still too detailed for traditional embroidery, no worries! We've got you covered with our sublimation patch. This patch combines the sophistication of a raised embroidered logo with the added bonus of unlimited colors and razor-sharp detail.
Now you might be wondering how to request embroidery for your custom-designed socks. It's simple! Embroidery is already a standard option in our Design Request Form. By default, we'll attempt to render your logo with traditional embroidery, but if we feel that a better result may come from using either of the patch options, we'll be sure to let you know. And of course, you're always welcome to request these methods if preferred.
It's important to note that the minimum order quantity for embroidery is 50 pairs, with 15 pairs per size. However, this is covered by our standard pricing, so you won't have to worry about any additional costs.
In conclusion, embroidery on socks has never been easier or more customizable. Thanks to our new techniques, we can provide you with a sleek and professional touch to your custom-designed socks without sacrificing any details. So go ahead, let your creativity run wild, and add some embroidery to your next sock design!
